Think Turkey and Bowl Canada Roll Out Inaugural “Turkey Bowl” Challenge

The first 250 Canadians to roll a turkey and submit their entry will receive a $50 VISA gift card and join all other senders in a drawing to win one in ten $500 Grocery store gift cards to use for their Easter turkey dinner.
“We’ve seen a tremendous increase in bowling over the last few years. In fact, we’ve broken sales records at my center since reopening post-pandemic, and most bowling centers across the country are reporting similar success,” he said Bob McKayMarketing Chair at Bowl Canada and owner of the Woodlawn Bowl Family Fun Center in Guelph. “We are very excited to partner with Think Turkey to share the spirit of bowling through this family-friendly challenge.”
Over 225 bowling centers from coast to coast will be taking part in the challenge. To submit an entry, bowlers simply snap a picture of their “turkey” on the digital scoreboard and share it on a public Instagram or Facebook account with the tags @CanadianTurkey and #ThinkTurkey, or upload it to ThinkTurkey.ca using the entry form.
“Turkey Dinner and bowling have a knack for bringing friends and family together, making it a natural partnership,” he said Darren FerenceChairman, Turkey Farmers of Canada. “We hope the event will become an annual challenge that Canadians look forward to each February.”
Bowling has seen a surge in popularity lately, which involves playing four different games Canada – Fivepin and Tenpin Bowling, which are played nationally, and Candlepin and Duckpin, which are regional games in the Maritimes and Quebec respectively The third weekend in February is the busiest weekend of the year for most bowling centers and the Turkey Bowl promises additional excitement for Canadians planning fun at their local bowling alleys.
“Bowling is a fun sport that anyone from three to a hundred and three can enjoy, just like eating turkey,” he said Jean Michel Laurin, President and CEO, Canadian Poultry and Egg Processors Council. “We look forward to bringing Canadians together for this new and fun challenge.”
