Classical Albums Live performs Billy Joel: The Stranger – February 2nd at 7:30pm.

A Playhouse staple, Classic Albums Live features experienced musicians re-enacting the greatest albums of the ’60s and ’70s live on stage, note by note, cut by cut.
Lúnasa – Friday, February 10 at 7:30 p.m
Get ready for a high-energy performance on stage in the Spotlight Series from Lúnasa, one of Ireland’s most distinguished traditional bands. (Courtesy of Fredericton Playhouse)The intricate arrangements and unique sound of Irish acoustic band Lúnasa have redefined the boundaries of traditional music, delighting audiences around the world. Folk Roots magazine described the group, formed in 1997 from members of some of the biggest Irish groups of the past decade, as the “Irish Music Dream Team”. One of the most influential bands in traditional music history, they have worked with Natalie Merchant, Mary-Chapin Carpenter and Tim O’Brien and performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall and the Glastonbury Festival.
In front of Lúnasa, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, sample a selection of Irish whiskeys with whiskey enthusiast and connoisseur Frank Scott. Tickets sold separately.

Nova Scotian artist and producer Erin Costelo brings love to the Fredericton Playhouse for Valentine’s Day with Carole King’s Tapestry and her album We Can Get Over. (Courtesy of Fredericton Playhouse)On Valentine’s Day, award-winning Nova Scotian artist and producer Erin Costelo presents one of the most popular albums in history, Carole King’s Tapestry. In addition to this album, Erin will present her album We Can Get Over in an opening set. In 2022, We Can Get Over celebrates its 10th anniversary and was heavily inspired by Carole King’s songwriting, making it a perfect complement to this show.
