DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks for 2/1/23 – Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

We have another dozen games on our DraftKings board tonight. We have three of them starting before the usual 7:00 PM Eastern timeslot. Penn State heads to Purdue, Creighton to DC, and Xavier hosts Providence half an hour earlier than “normal” time.
At 7 o’clock Georgia goes to Auburn. Tennessee flies south to Gainesville. Pitt hitchhikes to Chapel Hill to take on the heels at the Dean Dome. Half an hour later we welcome St. John’s hosting The Hall, Minnesota in Piscataway and Marquette hosting Villanova. We close this at 9:00 p.m. with Florida State in Raleigh, LSU in Columbia to take on some Tigers with different stripes, and Bedlam: Part Deux in Norman. That will be fun!
In this article I provide you with mine Daily Fantasy College Basketball Lineup Picks for DraftKings on 2/1/23, from 6:30 p.m. East. I’ll be making several player suggestions for Guard and Forward with the goal of highlighting an option at the top, middle, and bottom of the pay scale. Good luck, RotoBaller.

Draft Kings CBB DFS Guards
Jalen Pickett, Penn State ($9,500)
Pickett did everything he could to take out the Boilermakers when they played back on Jan. 8. He amassed 52.25 DraftKings points with 26 actual points. Pickett ranks in the top ten of the Big Ten (14) for both rebounds and assists and scoring. This allows him to get some nice DFS results even if his shot doesn’t go as it normally does. That leads to a really high cap that’s worth pursuing as I don’t see people rushing to use him against the number one team.
Jamarius Burton, Pittsburgh ($8,000)
Burton has started to get more than points lately. He still scored 19 points and grabbed 10 boards against Miami while accumulating seven assists. Burton has 32 assists in his last four games, which has pushed his cap up quite a bit. He had 31 points in his first encounter with the Tarheels in late December. We’ve seen Burton develop into a better all-around player over the past month and that should continue here.
AJ Storr, St. Johns ($5,500)
Red Storm has allowed the freshman to play 66 minutes in the last two games and he has responded with 64.75 DraftKings points. That’s a pretty elite return for a man in this price range. The Johnnies got a nice spark from Storr. I would expect them to continue having the newcomer on track as the team has looked better with him on the grid. As with all newcomers, Storr’s bottom is low, but given his performance and minutes over the last few games, he should still give us loads of value at this price point.
Jabri Abdur-Rahim, Georgia ($4,500)
The Bulldogs have been playing roulette with their lineups lately, trying to spark some kind of spark among the ranks. We’ve seen blanket play from guys like McBride and Holt, but it wasn’t at Jabri’s expense. He’s amassed 62 DraftKings points over the past three games with fairly consistent minute counts. You can take a shot with any of the other Georgia guys but I ride the one that’s still underrated but shouldn’t destroy my lineup.
Also consider: Terry Roberts, Georgia ($8,500); Primo Spears, Georgetown ($8,200); Devin Carter, Providence ($7,800); Zakai Zeigler, Tennessee ($7,500); Grant Sherfield, Oklahoma ($7,100); Caleb Mills, Florida ($7,000); Will Richard, Fla. ($6,000); AJ Storr, St. Johns ($5,500); Bijan Cortes, Oklahoma ($3,600); Mardrez McBride, Georgia ($3,000)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards
Zach Edey, Purdue ($10,800)
Edey has fired less than 15 shots just once in his last five games. The kick is that he shot 50+% in each of those games. Edey scores at the elite level and has double-digit rebounds in 17 of his 21 games this season. He abused Penn State for 56.75 DraftKings points in the first meeting, a game Purdue won by double digits. He’s probably the cash game anchor tonight, but also has enough potential for GPP use.
Kobe Brown, Missouri ($7,900)
Brown passed out a bit early in conference play, but he now has at least 30 DraftKings points in four straight games. He was instrumental in wins against Arkansas and Iowa State during this span. He still does it with his efficient scoring, but hitting the line and a big spike in steals are fueling that surge. Brown’s peripheral stats suffered throughout his underwhelming stretch of play, which was often fueled by foul troubles. He’s learning to be a defensive force without fouling, so this surge is sustainable.
Jaylin Williams, Maroon ($6,500)
Williams now has at least 22 DraftKings points in six straight games, some against sides that are pretty tough in the middle. Georgia is not one of them. The Bulldogs have been trampled on by most SEC teams, and what Auburn is doing to them will be no different. Williams has been putting up strong numbers across the board for the past three weeks and it should stay that way. It doesn’t have a solid top because of the blowout potential, but its bottom is as safe as any in this price range.
Baba Miller, Florida ($3,600)
Miller and Cameron Corhen split minutes down the middle. While Corhen has a higher ceiling, his floor is zero. Meanwhile, Miller has double-digit DraftKings points in all five games he’s played. He seems to be making for a solid bench role for the Seminoles and is an efficient goalscorer while putting up good rebound totals. He’s got great ground for the price and if he ever concedes 20 minutes he could be dangerous at this price.
Also consider: Armando Bacot, North Carolina ($10,700); Joel Soriano, St. John’s ($9,500); Ryan Kalkbrenner, Creighton ($8,900); Tanner Groves, Oklahoma ($6,900); Calib Boone, Oklahoma ($6,500); Federiko Federiko, Pittsburgh ($5,900); JaKobe Coles, TCU ($5,000); Jerome Hunter, Xavier ($4,900); Tae Davis, Seton Hall ($3,300)
