The West Coast Swing continues this week in Pebble Beach, but this is more of a week off as it features the top players on the PGA Tour.

Fellow favorites Matt Fitzpatrick and Jordan Spieth (+1,000) return after a few weeks out, but other than Viktor Hovland, this field doesn’t have much firepower or star power to offer.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am tips and predictions

Seamus Power Top 20 (+125 at DraftKings)

Unfinished business… Seamus Power has that to think about this week. The Irish native held a five-stroke, 36-hole lead this year last year but finished the weekend with a T9 after rounds of 74 and 72.

And his recent form suggests he’s ready to make another attempt this week. He raced through the fall circuit with a win in Bermuda inside three top 5s and has gone T25 (Sentry TOC) and T20 (HSBC Championship) since the calendar switched to 2023.

His putting and scrambling counts are up significantly compared to last season, which bodes well for an otherwise underperforming ball forward. He ranks ninth on the tour in strokes won this season at putting, up from 40th in 2021-22, and is up from 81st to 19th in strokes won around the green.

Combine those improvements with his recent form and the fact that he should have won this tournament a year ago and you’ve got another week in the mix for the Irishman.

Russell Knox finishes 49th or better (-120 at bet365)

Russell Knox has finished in the top 50 in nine of his last 14 PGA Tour starts, but the value of that game is far more specific to his track record at Pebble Beach.

It is on this windswept coastal gulf that the Scots thrive best and his results here bear that out. He’s finished 33rd or better in four of his last five attempts here – a track that includes a T7 and two other top 15s – and in six of his nine starts overall.

The field is light and I suspect Knox will erase this number again with ease.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Open Field and Favorites

The draw for the annual stop at Pebble Beach has declined in recent years, with many of the Tour’s top dogs a week ahead of a crucial stretch in February that includes the World Championship Phoenix Open and the Genesis Invitational – both high-profile events in the PGA Want to plan rest The new planning format of the tour.

With that in mind, this year’s odds board features three players who stand out from the rest of the field: 2017 champion Jordan Spieth (+1,000), Matt Fitzpatrick (+1,000) and Viktor Hovland (+1,100). Spieth makes his first start on the West Coast Swing after not playing since a missed cut at the Sony Open. Likewise, Fitz and Hovland have not played since the sentry.

The second tier consists of Seamus Power (+1,900), defending champion Tom Hoge (+2,000) and 2021 runner-up Maverick McNealy (+2,000). Additionally, you’ll have a hard time finding a household name this week.
