Dinner theatre returns after three-year hiatus

Algoma Repertory Theater presents Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding March 30-April 1 at The Machine Shop
After three years, Algoma Repertory Theater (ART) is returning to a dinner theater format with its production of Tony n’ Tina’s wedding which was postponed in 2020 due to the pandemic.
The night becomes an immersive, interactive and improvisational experience as viewers play guests at a mock wedding ceremony and reception in the machine shop.
Dinner is included and dancing is recommended. Gifts are not welcome.

Algoma Repertory Theater (ART) is pleased to announce its return to dinner theater with the artificial intelligence comedy troupe’s interactive play Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding. Performances are March 30-31 and April 1, 2023 at the Machine Shop (83 Huron St.) in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
Originally slated to be part of the 2020 ART season, Tony n’ Tina’s wedding has been postponed due to the pandemic. After three long years of waiting, we are happy to announce that they are finally getting married!
The Nunzio and Vitale families have requested your company at the wedding of their son Anthony Angelo Nunzio Jr. and daughter Valentina Lynne Vitale. The ceremony begins at 6:30pm and takes place on the mezzanine floor of the Machine Hall, followed by a reception with dinner and dancing. cash register available. Gifts for the bride and groom are not allowed.
Join “la famiglia” for the biggest and wildest Italian wedding ever at SSM! The audience plays wedding guests at a mock ceremony and reception, which means dinner, dancing, drinking and a host of characters and revelations – the Nunzio and Vitale families hate each other, the maid of honor is pregnant, the priest gets drunk – these are over-the- Top versions of what you might find at any big, loud, semi-dysfunctional marriage celebration. It will be a truly immersive, environmental theatrical experience with a talented, interactive and improvised comedy cast.

Marc Beaudette and Kara Colynuck, two founding members of Algoma Repertory Theater, will co-direct. The 24-strong cast includes several veterans of the local stage and some new performers that might surprise you.
Performances will take place March 30 through April 1 at The Machine Shop (83 Huron St.), Sault’s premier wedding venue. Tickets cost $85 per person and include a specially prepared five-course meal. Deliziosa! Tickets are general access without reserved seating, however we will do our best to seat groups together.
