Suddenly on Sunday 25 December 2022. Paul Anthony Curley of Owen Sound aged 67.
Beloved husband and best friend of Shelley Curley (née MacDonald) for 45 years. Loving father to Anthony Curley (Vanessa), to Annan and Angela Curley, to Owen Sound. Proud grandfather to Kamryn and Octavis VanWyck and his fur baby Comet. Esteemed son of Jean Curley (née Spencer) and the late Frank Curley (2020). Dear brother of Mary Curley (later Tom) and Rose Heathers (later Steve), both from Owen Sound, Michael and Lynn Curley from The Farm, Joy Farrow (later Paul Agnew) from Wasaga Beach, Kathy and Don Sim from Tara, Carolyn and Milt Towle of Stony Plain, Alberta, Donna and Tony Cottenie of Williamsford and brother-in-law to Sandy Blanck (Burk) of Ancaster and Brad MacDonald of Edmonton. Paul will be sorely missed by his aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Paul was a longtime truck driver and loved delivering flowers for the Awesome Blossom Flower Shop in Owen Sound, which his wife Shelley owned and operated for 15 years. He was also known for his years as a disc jockey, his love of cars and mechanics, and his stint as “Mr. Halloween” in the 80s and 90s. Many will remember Paul for his amazing guitar music and the genuine emotion he conveyed through it.
A visitation for Paul Curley will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 865 2nd Avenue West, Owen Sound. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the church, conducted by Rev. Ed Hoekstra. Lunch will be served immediately after the service.
