Kate Middleton Launches Campaign With ‘Love Island’ Alum, More

Famous helping hands! Princess Kate marked the launch of her latest children’s campaign featuring some notable celebrities.

The Princess of Wales, 41, continues her work with the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood with the new Shaping Us campaign, which she promoted in an Instagram video on Wednesday February 1st. “You may not know it, but our early childhood shapes everything from the way we form relationships to the way we deal with stress,” reads the caption. “A huge thank you to our champions for spreading the message! #ShapingUs.”

Along with the Duchess, the footage featured former Love Island Great Britain candidate Zara McDermottChannel Fear cottonAuthor and podcast host Giovanna Fletcher and England women’s football captain Leah Williamson. Rugby Star Ugo Money and rappers Professor Green also joined.

“Many aspects of our lives today have their roots in early childhood… so our early childhood shapes the adults we become,” Kate said in the clip.

According to the Royal Foundation, Shaping Us aims to help “improve public understanding of the critical importance of a child’s first five years”.

The campaign officially started on Tuesday 31st January. “Our early childhood, the period from pregnancy to the age of five, fundamentally shapes the rest of our lives,” Kate said in another video uploaded to the foundation’s Instagram account. “But as a society, we currently spend a lot more time and energy on later life.”

The Queen-to-be continued: “Today the Royal Foundation Center for Early Childhood is launching a new campaign, Shaping Us, to raise awareness of the life-changing impact we can have in building a supportive, nurturing world around children and those those who care for them build for you.”

Kate’s new endeavor comes amid heightened tensions within the British royal family. her brother-in-law Prince Harry dropped bombshell revelations about his relatives – including Kate – in his debut memoir, spare partwhich hit shelves on January 10th. Neither Kate nor her husband, Prince Williamhave publicly addressed the details of the book.
