Emergent Metals Hits Visible Gold in Initial Drill Holes at Its Trecesson Property, Quebec

VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / January 31, 2023 / Emergent Metals Corp. (TSXV:EMR)(OTCQB:EGMCF)(FRA:EML)(BSE:EML) (“emerging” or the “company“) is pleased to announce that it has encountered visible gold in two of five initial drill holes drilled to date on its Trecesson, Quebec property (“trecession” or the “PropertyTrecesson is a 2,360 ha property located 13 km west of the town of Amos in the Abitibi region of Quebec. As announced in December 2022, Emergent is conducting a 4,000 m campaign of NQ core drilling on the property, its first Drilling program since property acquisition.

Drilling completed to date includes:

  • Hole TR-23-01 was drilled to a depth of 192.0 meters at an inclination of minus 45 degrees
  • Hole TR-23-02 was drilled at an inclination of minus 45 degrees to a depth of 99.0 m
  • Hole TR-23-03 was drilled to a depth of 75.0m at an inclination of minus 45 degrees
  • Hole TR-23-04 was drilled to a depth of 87.0m at an inclination of minus 60 degrees
  • Hole TR-23-05 was drilled to a depth of 96.0m at an inclination of minus 45 degrees
  • Hole TR-23-06 was drilled to a depth of 120.0m at an inclination of minus 45 degrees.

Total drilling completed on January 27, 2022 totals 669.0m. Field geologists logging core have identified visible gold in drill holes TR-23-03 at a depth of 59.72m and TR-23- 04 at a depth of 70.87m as shown in Figures 1 and 2 below. TR-23-04 was drilled as an undercut below TR-23-03. The core is logged and selected cores are sent for analysis.

Historical exploration on the property dates back to 1925. Recent exploration was conducted by Knick Exploration Inc. (“kink“), including two drill programs, one in 2011 and one in 2017. The first drill program consisted of 121 drill holes totaling 3,473.9m and the second program consisted of 33 drill holes totaling 3,220.6m, i.e 154 holes total and 6,694.5m total This represents an average drill hole length of 43.5m per drill hole indicating relatively shallow drilling Emergent’s drilling will be primarily focused on two target areas – the Cossette North and South veins Emergent plans to drill the Cossette North and South veins to greater depths and seek to extend the strike length of known mineralization.

Historic select significant intervals (>10 g/t and >1.0m hole length) drilled by Knick include:

  • 10.55 g/t Au over 1.20m from a depth of 8.80m to 10.00m in hole TR-11-19
  • 33.10 g/t over 1.50m from a depth of 23.00m to 24.50m in hole TR-11-61
  • 13.65 g/t Au over 1.45m from a depth of 6.80m to 8.25m in hole TR-11-78
  • 20.50 g/t Au over 1.10m from a depth of 17.60m to 18.70m in hole TR-11-111

Knick samples were submitted to Laboratoire Expert Inc. (Expert Laboratory Inc.) of Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec for fire assay and metal sieve analysis. QC/QC activities in Knick’s drill program included blanks and standards. Emergent considers these results historical and has not completed sufficient work to independently verify these historical results. Additional information on the property is available in the NI 43-101 Technical Report on the Trecesson Property, Abitibi Area, Amos Region, Quebec by Donald Théberge, P.Eng., MBA dated January 20, 2012, updated March 25, 2013 and at Knick’s corporate records can be found at www.sedar.com. Emergent is also treating this report as historical information and has not verified its contents.

David Watkinson, Emergent’s President and CEO, stated, “Knick has encountered the presence of visible gold in select core samples during its historical drilling programs and we are also seeing visible gold in our initial drilling. We look forward to continuing the drill program and receiving the assay results. Once available we will provide further drilling details at this time.”

The locations of Emergent’s completed and planned drill holes at the Cossette South target area near Trecesson are shown in Figure 3 below. Locations of drill holes completed by Knick in 2011 and 2017 are also shown.
