Prep roundup: Seton Catholic boys beat Castle Rock to keep pace atop Trico League standings

The Seton Catholic boys basketball team kept pace with King’s Way Christian at the top of the Trico League with a 58-45 win at Castle Rock on Friday night.
Brady Angelo and Jack Jenniges each scored 17 points for Seton Catholic (14-4, 6-2), who ranked first in the league with King’s Way. Rico George was also in double digits with 11 points.
Trystin Marin had 18 points and Lane Partridge and James Montgomery had 12 each for the Rockets (7-9, 3-5).
COLUMBIA WHITE SALMON 46, STEVENSON 38 — Dylan Nortz had 15 points and Spencer Karlson had 12 as the Bruins defeated the guest against Stevenson in the Trico League matchup.
Stevenson’s Kacen Bach led all scorers with 16 points, and Jordan Waymire added 14 for the Bulldogs.
WOODLAND 68, WASHOUGAL 62 — Woodland was able to hold off Washougal’s rally in the fourth quarter and win the 2A GSHL game on the road.
Woodland (11-6, 9-4) led 50-38 after three quarters, but Washougal (5-10, 4-9) made a game of it by scoring 24 points in the fourth quarter.
Washougal’s Tucker Kneipp scored all 27 of his second-half points and led all scorers.
Woodland had four players in double figures in a balanced offensive attack. Justin Philpot led by 17 points, Beau Swett had 15, Drew Burns 14 and Dane Huddleston 11.
RIDGEFIELD 63, HUDSON’S BAY 42 — Cole Chester scored 20 of his playing 26 points in the first half as the Spudders secured a postseason spot in the District.
Landon Kelsey had 14 points and Jalen Dunn had 12 for the Spudders (10-8, 9-5 2A GSHL), who still have key games against Columbia River and Woodland to determine the district seeding.
Izek Finn was 21 points ahead of Bay.
SKYVIEW 72, MOUNTAIN VIEW 60 — Demaree Collins and Gavin Perdue hit four 3-pointers each as the Storm used a strong second half to beat Mountain View.
Collins finished the tournament with 26 points and Perdue added 16 points and six rebounds for the Storm, who was 33-29 at halftime.
Gavin Packer had eight rebounds and four assists for Skyview and Malakai Weimer had nine rebounds and five steals.
Jacob Martin scored 22 points to lead the Thunder and Isaiah Vargas added 20.
BATTLEFIELD 91, PRAIRIE 63 — Tait Spencer scored 24 of his playing 28 points in the first half as the Tigers (12-4) won the non-league at rivals Prairie (4-14).
Battle Ground 60-28 at halftime. Trey Spencer added 17 points, Ty Robertson 15 and Todd Copper 10 for the Tigers.
Prairie’s Cam Newsome led the Falcons with 21 points and Bailey Kousonsavath had 18.
UNION 77, EVERGREEN 43 — Yanni Fassillis dominated inside with 25 points and led four Titans by double digits.
Grayson Stanley had 13, Josiah Baldassare had 11, and Evan Manville added 10 for the Titans.
Dez Daniel scored 16 to lead Evergreen.
CAMAS 74, HERITAGE 50 — Every Camas senior scored in the first quarter of Senior Night, led by Jamison Carlisle’s 11 points in the first eight minutes.
Carlisle finished the race with 19 points and Josh Dabasinskas added 13 for the Papermakers. Theo McMillan had 10 assists.
Jose Zacarias led Heritage with 19 points.

UNION 79, LA CONNER 54 — Brooklynn Haywood scored a school-record 50 points as the Titans (13-5) beat Class 2B No. 5 La Conner (12-4) in an out-of-league matchup.
Haywood, who had 34 points at halftime, made seven 3-pointers and was 7-for-7 from the free throw line.
CAMAS 64, HERITAGE 15— Addison Harris scored 19 points and Parker Mairs hit three 3-pointers, adding 11 points for the Papermakers.
EVERGREEN 65, FORT VANCOUVER 36 — Kimora Ross scored 41 points to lead Evergreen to a non-league win.
Adrian Wright added 14 points for Evergreen. Trian Clark led Fort at 15.
